Financial Police and OSCE Center in Astana discussed anti-corruption activities

ASTANA. April 10. KAZINFORM Chairman of the Kazakh Agency for Fighting Economic and Corruption-related Crimes (Financial Police) Rashid Tusupbekov met with Head of the OSCE Centre in Astana, Ambassador Natalia Zarudna, the press service of Kazakh Financial Police said.

The meeting discussed activities of the Agency and the OSCE Centre in Astana in the fight against corruption and money laundering, as well as the issues of further expansion and strengthening of bilateral cooperation through joint activities.

During 2008-2011 the Agency has established close cooperation with the OSCE Centre in Astana. They jointly organize and conducte seminars, "round tables", as well as other activities with the participation of foreign experts.
For example, on March 26-29 this year the Financial Police Academy held a training seminar on "Combating Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism", one of the organizers of which was the OSCE Centre in Astana.
