Eurasia Barysy offers USD 100,000 prize money

TARAZ. KAZINFORM Taraz is getting ready to host the second tournament of Kazakh Kuresi (Kazakh wrestling) dated to the 150th anniversary of legendary Kazakh wrestler Baluan Sholak.

The tournament will start November 22 at the Taraz Arena Sports Palace. Its prize fund is USD 100,000. 12 teams from Azerbaijan, Georgia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Poland, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Belarus are expected to participate in it. Last year the Kazakh team took the first place. The event is organized by Kazakhstan Barysy (the Kazakh Kuresi Development Fund), the President's Professional Sports Club Astana and the Kazakh Kuresi Federation of Kazakhstan.
