EU interested in signing coop agreement with Kazakhstan, view

BRUSSELS. KAZINFORM - March 2-3 the current year Kazakhstan's delegation chaired by Foreign Minister Erlan Idrissov conducted a visit to Brussels to partake in the 14th meeting of "Kazakhstan - European Union" Cooperation Council.

Cooperation Council is a leading body on bilateral cooperation with Europe. Edgars Rinkēvičs, Foreign Minister of Latvia, who holds the EU presidency till July 2015, headed the European Union's delegation. "We have a mutual interest in deepening and broadening bilateral relations between the EU and Kazakhstan. We reaffirmed our common interest in signing and ratification of the new agreement to expand partnership of Kazakhstan and the EU as soon as possible," said Mr. Rinkēvičs. EU is interested in signing a cooperation agreement with Kazakhstan in 2015, this has been stated by Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs at a press briefing after the meeting of the Cooperation council "Kazakhstan - European Union".
