EU and Kazakhstan share common values - EU Special Representative for Central Asia P. Morel

ASTANA. February 3. KAZINFORM "The role of the European Union is not to impose its standards on other countries, but to remind them that we share common values and international obligations", Pierre Morel, the EU Special Representative for Central Asia, said.

"You know that over 5 mln signatures have been collected in support of the referendum. Besides, the Parliament has made a unanimous decision. The only thing I can say is that the European Union and Kazakhstan share same values that was proved by the N. Nazarbayev's decision to cancel the referendum and hold snap presidential elections", P. Morel added.
