ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) agreement on elimination of technical barriers in trade with the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States, non-members of the EEU, has entered into force, the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) informs.

The agreement's entry into force allows CIS member-states joining the system of technical regulation of the Eurasian Economic Union. Moreover, it creates more favorable conditions for the development of trade and economic cooperation between the EEU and the CIS. In addition, experience in application of the agreement will be important for further realization of the task aimed at eliminating technical barriers to mutual trade between the EEU and third countries. Recall that the Agreement of the Customs Union (now EEU) on the elimination of technical barriers in trade with CIS countries, non-members of the Union, was signed by the Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation in Moscow in December 2012. Later, in the framework of the EEU the document was signed by the Republic of Armenia.
