EEU affords new opportunities for China, view

BEIJING. KAZINFORM Foundation of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) will afford new opportunities for Chinese companies and investors in Kazakhstan and produce positive effect in the longer term, Chinese experts told today a roundtable.

The event organized by the Kazakh Embassy in China focused on geopolitical situation in the Eurasian space and Sino-Kazakh relations. Besides, those attending expressed optimistic estimations concerning Beijing cooperation with the EEU member states. As stated there, the country's WTO accession ahead will also promote diversification and increase of sales with China. As the experts noted, upgrading of goods standards and increase in customs duty may negatively affect bilateral sales.

Kazakh Ambassador to China Nurlan Yermekbayev briefed on realization of the tasks outlined in the Kazakh President's State-of-the-Nation Address "Kazakhstan's way -2050: common goal, common interest, and common future". He also stressed that Kazakhstan enjoys great potential of exporting phosphoric fertilizers, steel pellets, and coal and farm products to China.
