Days of Kazakh Cinema opened in Bishkek

ASTANA. August 16. KAZINFORM The Week of Kazakh Cinema started on August 15 in Bishkek as part of Cultural Days of Kazakhstan in Kyrgyzstan.

The events are dated to the 20th anniversary since establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the Kazakh MFA's press service said.

Kazakh Ambassador Beibit Issabayev, Kyrgyz Culture and Tourism Minister Ibragim Zhunussov, Bishkek Mayor Isa Omurkulov, Kazakhfilm Studio president Yermek Amanshayev and other officials took part in the opening ceremony.

Ambassador Issabayev expressed hope that the Week of Kazakh Cinema in Kyrgyzstan will advance Kazakh-Kyrgyz friendship and good neighborly relations.

The Kyrgyz Culture and Tourism Minister and Bishkek Mayor thanked Kazakhstanis for holding such an important event noting its high significance for further broadening of mutual understanding and cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
