Cycling race devoted to Alexander Vinokurov's career ending held in Astana

 ASTANA. August 15. KAZINFORM Competitions to mark the end of a career of Olympic champion Kazakh cyclist Alexander Vinokurov were held on Saturday in Astana.

Over a hundred of professional cyclists participated in the first Olympic criterium race named "Vino" in honor of the famous champion.

At the end of the Olympic criterium started mass bike ride with participation of Alexander Vinokurov, representatives of Astana Akimat, ministries and foreign missions in Kazakhstan, fans of cycling.

During the event, Vinokurov was handed over a check for 1 million tenge for his Olympic victory from the Akimat of Aktobe region.

The organizers of the event were Kazakhstan Cycling Federation and Astana Akimat.
