Customs Union - pragmatic project to solve economic issues, Kazakh President
ASTANA. January 28. KAZINFORM. /Askar Bimendin/ "The Customs Union is a pragmatic union called to solve economic problems of the three states," Nursultan Nazarbayev said today in Astana.
As you know the Customs Union started its activity last year. Following the results of 10 months of 2010 the volume of trade with Russia, Belarus increased by 38%. Kazakhstan's export to the Customs Union member states grew by 52.4%, thereat the customs duties surplus channeled to the budget made 25%.
The President highlighted the role of the Single Economic Space in the country's economic development. It provides a huge sales market for Kazakhstan commodity producers. On the other hand it gives a great impetus to the country's business to produce competitive goods and services.
