CSTO Security Council Secretaries debate joint efforts to counter threats in Astana

ASTANA. April 27. KAZINFORM Kazakh President's Aide - Secretary of Kazakh Security Council Marat Tazhin chairs the meeting of the Committee of the Secretaries of the Security Council of CSTO member states in Astana.

CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha is expected to take the floor.

Those attending focus on joint efforts to counter collective security challenges and threats which influence greatly the situation in the CSTO area of responsibility, draft agenda of the jubilee session of the Collective Security Council dated to the 20th anniversary of signing the Collective Security Treaty and 10th anniversary of the CSTO.

The Collective Security Treaty was signed on May 15 in 1992 in Tashkent. The CSTO groups Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
