Council of Europe to open its office in Kazakhstan

BRUSSELS. February 24. KAZINFORM "The Council of Europe considers a possibility of opening its office in Kazakhstan," Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Belgium and Luxembourg, Head of the Mission to the EU and NATO Yerik Utembayev told Kazakh journalists after the meeting with Secretary General  of the Council of Europe Thorbjorn Jagland in Strasbourg.

"The Council of Europe will submit soon its proposals concerning its office in Kazakhstan. The opening of its representation in our country once again proves that Kazakhstan takes the lead in the region and the reforms held in the country are highly appreciated by the European side, " Utembayev said.

Besides, the parties debated realization of the action plan between Kazakhstan and the Council of Europe.
