College of Fashion and Design rocked by explosion in Almaty, one dead

ALMATY. KAZINFORM - A hand grenade has exploded at the College of Fashion and Design in Almaty this morning.

According to witness, the accident occured at 9:20 a.m. Almaty time. As a result of the explosion one student (female) died and eight people, including a teacher, were severely injured. Paramedics rushed them to a local hospital. There was no immediate word on the reasons of the explosion. The police are currently investigating.
