Coal exports to Russia reducing

ASTANA. KAZINFORM "Coal exports to Russia are decreasing gradually," Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and New Technologies Asset Isekeshev said.

"Last year Kazakhstan produced 112 mln tons of coal. We plan to stay within the range of 100-120 mln tons in 2030 for it will be the main resource for our heat power plants until 2030. We exported about 30 mln tons of coal to Russia before, now we observe its decrease," he added. According to him, it is essential to seek for new buyers over the long run.
