Caspian Sea states to formulate security cooperation protocol

TBILISI. February 15. KAZINFORM. The Caspian Sea littoral states on Wednesday Feb 9 agreed to formulate a regional working protocol on security cooperation.

According to Xinhua, the agreement came during discussions that were held as a follow-up to last November's Caspian States Summit also held in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Attending Wednesday's discussion were the responsibles for border services from Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan.

The presidents from the five Caspian Sea states on Nov. 18 signed in Baku the Agreement on Security Cooperation in the Caspian Sea during their third summit.
