Caspian littoral countries back Nazarbayev's suggestion on Caspian territorial zones

ASTANA. April 23. KAZINFORM "Suggestion of President Nursultan Nazarbayev on the establishment of territorial zones, fishing zones and common areas on the Caspian Sea won support of all five Caspian littoral countries," Kazakh FM Kazykhanov told the Governmental Hour in Astana.

The working groups work now on this proposal.

According to the Minister, the legal status of the Caspian Sea may be determined already in the foreseeable future.

Caspian littoral countries are Kazakhstan, Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran and Turkmenistan.
