CAREC development program to benefit Kazakhstan

ASTANA. April 25. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ "Development program of the Conference of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) will serve the development of Kazakhstan," said Baurzhan Tortayev, director of the investment policy and planning department of the Kazakh Economic Development and Trade Ministry, during the sub-regional workshop on CAREC-2020 in Astana.

"The brightest sample of the CAREC program in Kazakhstan is a transit transport corridor "West Europe-West China" with the participation of the World Bank in Kyzylorda oblast, Asian Bank and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Zhambyl oblast."

The CAREC program embraces many projects designed to promote trade and customs affairs. Basically, the program is aimed at acceleration of integration processes in Central Asia.
