Capital of Croatia hosts reception to mark Kazakhstan's Independence Day

ASTANA. December 16. KAZINFORM The Day of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan was celebrated within a solemn reception on December 14 in Zagreb. Eminent politicians and businessmen, public figures of Croatia and foreign diplomats accredited in the country participated in the event.

According to the press service of the Kazakh Embassy in Croatia, charge d'affaires of Kazakhstan T.Barlybayev told those present about key political and socioeconomic achievements of Kazakhstan. It was noted that past years were remarkable for people of Kazakhstan. Large-scale reforms carried out under wise leadership of President Nazarbayev allowed Kazakhstan to take top positions at the regional and global level. "Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the OSCE, OIC, SCO and election of Astana as the host city of the international exhibition EXPO-2017 demonstrated the growth of our international authority," the diplomat said.

This October Kazakhstan and Croatia celebrated the 20^th anniversary of diplomatic relations. The sides are keen to unlock the potential of business partnership, strengthen ties within the industrial and innovative vector of Kazakhstan's development. It was stressed next year's accession of Croatia to the EU will give new opportunities for mutually profitable cooperation.
