Balgozha Zhanbyrshyuly (birth date is unknown - 1860) was a bi, grandfather of Ybyrai Altynsarin. He was from Uzyn tribe of Middle Zhuz. He was born in Kostanay municipality of Kostanay region. He ruled by Uzynkypshak municipality of Orenburg Governorate General.

In 1839 he was a cornet, in 1848 - a centurion (zhuzbasy), in 1850 - a master sergeant. For his military service he was awarded with a golden medal from Tsar Government. He took part in suppression of the national-liberation uprising headed by Kenessary Kassymov.

In 1844 after death of Altynsary's son he fathered Altynsary's grandson Ybyrai.

In 1850 Ybyrai entered the boarding school of Orenburg border committee. He finished the school in 1857 and during three years worked as a secretary in Orenburg.

Y. Altynsarin entered the letters of Balgozha to his son Zhanbyrshyuly to his book "Kazakh Chrestomatiyasy".
