Baku praises Kazakhstan's independence, success in international arena
Eminent political and cultural figures of Azerbaijan and members of 'Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan' association attended the event. Kazakh Ambassador in Azerbaijan Serik Primbetov told the guests about Kazakhstan's achievements in the political and economic spheres having especially emphasized the role of President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Those present, in turn, congratulated Kazakhstan on the forthcoming holiday and praised its 'leader' status on the post-Soviet territory in terms of many factors.
During the event that passed in a festival and friendly atmosphere the Azerbaijani side surprised the guests with performance of Kazakh national songs and poems by Abai Kunanbayev, Mukhtar Auezov and many others.
"People of Kazakhstan are our brothers and Astana's achievements in the international arena have proved the country is on the right path," well-known Azerbaijani director Oktai Murkasymov said.
"The decision to hold the international specialized exhibition "EXPO-2017" in Astana is a striking example of success of reforms carried out in Kazakhstan," president of the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy (ASOA) Siyadush Karayev said.
