ASTANA. April 29. KAZINFORM On May 18, 2011, Astana will host the 24th plenary meeting of the Foreign Investors' Council (FIC) chaired by President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

The FIC is an advisory body established in 1998 by a decree of the President of Kazakhstan to promote direct dialogue between the leadership of Kazakhstan and foreign investors in order to efficiently address key issues related to their investment activities in the country. The FIC includes executives of largest foreign corporations investing in Kazakhstan's economy, the News Bulletin of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the US reads.

The forthcoming FIC meeting will focus on solutions to raise labor efficiency and further modernization of enterprises in Kazakhstan. The topic of the meeting mirrors the main theme of the preceding 23rd FIC meeting in Almaty, where President Nursultan Nazarbayev highlighted the importance of qualified labor resources in ensuring highly competitive advantages.
