Astana hosts 9th healthcare expo AstanaZdorovie

ASTANA. September 5. KAZINFORM The 9th international exhibition AstanaZdorovie kicked off in Astana on Wednesday (September 5).

This event has become a tradition not only for health professionals, but for the whole society of the country.

"Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev pays a lost of attention to the system of healthcare and education," Serikbol Mussinov, executive secretary of the Kazakh Healthcare Ministry told the opening ceremony of the 9th international exhibition AstanaZdorovie at Korme Expo Center in Astana.

"Over the years of independence a lot has been done to modernize the domestic healthcare system. Over the last decade some 500 new medical facilities have been built. 400 more medical institutions are to be constructed in the years to come," S. Mussinov said.

"Kazakhstan allots approximately KZT 100 billion on pharmacological support every year," he added.

The exhibition is set to be held on September 5-7. It has attracted 100 companies from 12 countries of the world: Austria, Germany, India, Kazakhstan, China, Latvia, Moldova, Russia, Pakistan, Poland, the U.S. and Czech Republic.
