Astana forum, important step to joining efforts of politicians and general public, N. Nazarbayev

ASTANA. October 12. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ "Astana forum is an important step to joining together efforts of politicians and the general public on a wide range of nuclear security problems," Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev told the international conference "For a Nuclear Weapons Free World" in Astana.

The President welcomed the high guests arrived for the significant international forum dated to the 20^th anniversary of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site shutdown. "Today the issues of nuclear security come to the fore," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

The conference is a part of the International Forum for a Nuclear Weapons Free World which will continue its work tomorrow in East Kazakhstan.
