Astana conducts antiterrorism exercises

ASTANA. KAZINFORM The Astana counterterrorism operations headquarters started today regular antiterrorism exercises in the territory of the Arshaly district of the Akmola region and Kyzylzhar post, the Astana internal affairs department said.

The exercises are purposed to practice to perfection cooperation of law enforcement agencies, special services and other departments and top priority actions to redeploy rapid reaction forces and reinforce the Astana border areas. Forces of the Astana internal affairs department, National Security Committee department, emergencies situations department and Defense Ministry of Kazakhstan take part in the maneuvers.
