Asiad solemn opening ceremony kicks off in Astana

ASTANA. January 30. KAZINFORM. /Muratbek Makulbekov/ A solemn opening ceremony of the VII Asian Games has started at the Astana-Arena stadium.

Kazakh flag is hoisted. A parade of national teams with their flags flying is underway at the stadium now.

President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of the Olympic Council of Asia Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah, International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge, President of Kazakhstan attend the opening ceremony.
