On this day in 1993, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev signed the Decree "On rehabilitation of victims of mass political repressions".

The democratic party of Kazakhstan called Ak Zhol was registered on April 14, 2002. The party seeks to strengthen Kazakhstan's statehood and develop its civil society. It has branches of all regions of the country as well as the cities of Astana and Almaty.

Books and publications about culture and religious life of Romania were handed over to the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Bucharest in 2006. At the ceremony the Romanian side noted that it highly appreciates Kazakhstan and President Nursultan Nazarbayev's efforts on the development of global inter-faith dialogue.

On April 14, 2010, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev was honored with 2010 EWI Peace and Preventive Diplomacy Award by the EastWest Institute (EWI) in Washington, D.C. The prestigious award is traditionally presented for achievements in championing preventive diplomacy and promoting global interfaith dialogue. Past recipients included former U.S. President George H.W. Bush, British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Chancellor of Germany Helmut Kohl and Czech President Vaclav Havel.

The same day, lyceum №1 in Grozny, Russia was named after President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. A minibus, a library and an interactive board were presented to the lyceum on behalf of the Kazakh leader.

A new library of the Kazakh National University, the largest university library in Central Asia, was unveiled on April 14, 2013. The library has no analogues among Central Asian universities. Its stock includes over 2 million books.

"Kazinform" International News Agency and AGI - Agenzia Giornalistica Italia signed the cooperation agreement on April 14, 2014 in Astana. The sides agreed to exchange news on economic, political and other events in Kazakhstan and Italy.

Ankara hosted a photo exhibition timed to the upcoming International specialized exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana on April 14, 2014. It was arranged within the framework of the Days of Kazakhstan in Ankara. The exhibition of the books about Kazakhstan and President Nursultan Nazarbayev's publications translated into Turkish was held on the margins of the event.

National Agency for Export and Investment KAZNEX INVEST JSC opened its representative office in the Russian city of Novosibirsk on this day in 2016 in order to promote Kazakhstan's products on Russian markets and attract Russian investment into Kazakhstan.

The session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council chaired by Kyrgyzstan brought together the presidents of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova and Russia in Bishkek on April 14, 2017. Participants of the session focused on the problems of development of trade and commercial cooperation with other countries, in particular with Iran, and looked into the possibility of signing a temporary free trade zone agreement with that country.
