American oncologists will do demonstration operations on abdominal cavity in Astana

ASTANA. July 16. KAZINFORM - According to the order of the Deputy Prime Minister Yerbol Orynbayev July 15 as part of the project to establish the National Research Cancer Center started joint Kazakh-American master classes in surgical oncology.

As the press-service of "Republican scientific center of emergency medical care" (RSCEMC) JSC informs from 15 to 19 July this year there is a visit of specialists from University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) - professor, oncology doctor Mr. Bartler and professor, anesthetist Dr. Williams. During their visit, the doctors together with their Kazakh counterparts on the basis of "RSCEMC" JSC will be holding seven operations on abdominal cavity. The master class will be held to exchange experience in the field of cancer treatment.

Surgeons and oncologists have been invited from all over Kazakhstan.

July 17 Dr.Bartler and Dr. Williams will give lectures - "New advances in surgical oncology" and "Treatment of acute pain."
