Almaty to welcome 1st Int'l Cinema Festival of student and debut films

ASTANA. April 4. KAZINFORM The First International Cinema Festival of student and debut films "Bastau" (Beginning) will be held in Almaty on April 22-26. Prominent artists and heads of major film schools of Russia, Georgia, Poland, Germany, South Korea and Mongolia will attend the event.

The Festival is organised by the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan, the mayor's office of Almaty city, the Kazakh National Academy of Arts, and Tanaris Production Film Company with the support of the Kazakhfilm and International Organisation of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), the press service of the Kazakh MFA reports.
