Almaty student won «Swiss-Open 2013» European karate tournament

ALMATY. May 4. KAZINFORM - Almaty schoolboy at the age of eight Eric Shakarimov arrived home with the victory. He took the first place in ”Swiss-Open 2013”, the open children's and youth karate championship in SHINKYOKUSHINKAI which took place on April 27 this year in Stans, Switzerland.

The fight was very sharp. The competition was attended by 340 young athletes from 18 countries.

Prizes in the junior championship took another two residents of Almaty. A seven-year old Turdiev Said took the third place in the weight category up to 30 kg and eight-year old Radion Davydov also gained the third place in the overall category.

All three athletes has been trained by Alexander Kolesnikov, the honored coach of Kazakhstan, a master of sports, a black belt holder, who has already prepared a generation of champions.
