ASTANA. KAZINFORM At its plenary session the Kazakh Senate adopted the law "On ratification of the Agreement between Kazakhstan and Russia on good neighborly relations and alliance in the 21st century".

"Kazakhstan considers Russia as a key political and economic partner in the Eurasian space. Development of multifaceted cooperation with Russia meets long-term strategic interests of Kazakhstan," Kazakh Foreign Minister Yerlan Idrissov told representing the bill. The minister said that the agreement is one of the fundamental documents on cooperation with Russia to reflect the basic principles of bilateral cooperation. It is called to develop bilateral political dialogue on urgent issues in an effort to strengthen peace, stability and security. Presidents of Kazakhstan and Russia Nursultan Nazarbayev and Vladimir Putin signed the agreement last November 11 in Yekaterinburg within the 10th Forum of Cross-Border Cooperation of Kazakhstan and Russia.
