ADB ready to help Kazakhstan join world's top 30 competitive countries

ASTANA. October 24. KAZINFORM The Asian Development Bank is ready to help Kazakhstan enter the top 30 most competitive economies by 2050, President of the bank Takehiko Nakao announced at the 12th Ministerial Conference on Central Asian Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) on Thursday.

In his words, the ADB's support is directed to the modernization of infrastructure and public utilities, financing of small and medium business, development of trade and more investments for infrastructure through public and private partnership.

"We believe that institutional reforms, development of private sector, regional cooperation, know-how, protection of environment and gender equality will help Kazakhstan achieve diversification required for the achievement of this ambitious goal," Mr. Nakao added.
