64 cars stuck in snow in W Kazakhstan rescued

URALSK. KAZINFORM 138 people were rescued as their cars were trapped in heavy snow on the Taskala- Akkurai highway in West Kazakhstan region.

"64 light cars carrying 138 people, including eight children, and a freight vehicle were found buried in snow at midnight. All the cars were towed off," an official representative of the Emergency Situations Committee Nursultan Nurakhmetov said.
