581 freed from snow trap in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - In the period from 16 to 22 March 2015 territorial divisions of the Emergency Committee under the Ministry of Interior have actively carried out rescue work on the roads of the country.

According to the Office of the State Language and Information, the largest number of trapped in snow were registered in Akmola region: 162 people and 47 vehicles. Rescuers of Pavlodar region rescued from snow drifts 156 people including 6 children and 9 vehicles. Rescue operations were conducted in Ekibastuz, Bajanaulsky, Zhelizinskom, Kachiry areas. 136 people, including 3 children, and 35 cars were rescued from snow trap in the East Kazakhstan region. On the roads of North Kazakhstan region were rescued 92 people, including 1 child, evacuated 31 vehicles. On "Kyzylorda-Pavlodar" road have been rescued 35 people. Rescuers of Atyrau region conducted search and rescue operations in respect of people who left NIVA car in the direction of the Caspian Sea. Missing citizens were found and taken to a rural district Zaburunye. Total as a result of rescue operations from snow drifts across the country have been rescued 581 people, including 19 children, 122 vehicles.
