5.0 magnitude earthquake strikes near Almaty

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the MPV scale was registered by a network of seismological stations near Almaty city earlier this morning.

The quake hit the territory of Afghanistan, 883 kilometers southwest of Almaty city.

It was recorded at the depth of 150 kilometers at 8:22 a.m. Almaty time.
