1st peace-making CSTO exercises kick off in Kazakshtan

ASTANA. October 8. KAZINFORM The opening ceremony of peace-making exercises of the CSTO member countries headed by the First Deputy of Defense Minister of Kazakhstan Saken Zhasuzakov took place at Iliisky training area, the Ministry's press service reports.

The event brought together military men from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

Defense attaches of the CSTO member states stressed that it would develop international military cooperation and strengthen stability in the region.

Participating military men are expected to exercise and rehearse peace-making operations for 10 days.
