18 avalanches descend in Almaty rgn

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Spontaneous avalanches recorded on March 22 in Almaty region, according to the State Office of "Kazselezashshita".

According to the Emergency Committee under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 11 avalanches descended in the basin of the Kishi Almaty (Ile Alatau) River. The total amount of snow came down was 4980 cubic meters. No one was injured. In addition, 7 avalanches descended in the basin of Ulken Almaty (Ile Alatau) River. The total amount of snow came down was 7500 cubic meters. Avalanches stopped on the slopes. There was no injured reported.
