16yo stabs girl, wounds her mother

ASTANA. KAZINFORM The officers of the Astana internal affairs department arrested a 16-year-old youth, a suspect for murder of a girl, aged 17, the department's press service said.

The accident occurred last Friday around 7pm in Astana. The girl died of knife wounds sustained while her mother who tried to protect her was lucky to survive. The woman was taken to hospital. The investigation is underway to find out what exactly happened. The suspect was taken to the pretrial detention facility.
