ASTANA. December 2. KAZINFORM /Alexey Kaulko/ Eleven years of downtime in the work of the Organization, eleven years without such high-level meetings give an opportunity to look back through the decade, achievements, problems and analyze it, Croatian President Ivo Josipovich said at the Summit in Astana.

The Euro-Atlantic area from Vancouver to Vladivostok is not divided into blocks any more, but there are problems that need to be resolved and Croatia shares the view that it is the right time to face new challenges and chart new course for the Organization, Ivo Josipovic said.

All people should aspire to build community without divisions, different levels of security and any use of force. It is highly difficult to accomplish this task but it is what should be the goal. In case every country contributes, the task will be fulfilled and the goal seems wihtin reach, this idea was expressed by the President of Chroatia.

He also expressed his hope that the OSCE would become a stronger organization able to respond to new challenges and the Summit of the OSCE here in Astana and the documents that were to be adopted would be an impetus for future development.
