ASTANA. July 17. KAZINFORM 11 people drowned in the waters of Kazakhstan over the past 24 hours, the press service of the Kazakh Emergencies Ministry said.

A 27-year-old national of China drowned while swimming in the River Ishim in Astana. The rescuers found his body in less than in an hour.

A man aged 36 drowned in the Karasu River in Akmola region.

According to the press service, mainly young men drowned in the last 24 hours in East Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Kostanay and Kyzylorda regions.
