VIENNA. September 9. KAZINFORM /Timur Bekturganov/ The OSCE Summit will promote the effectiveness of the international activity in the sphere of security and give opportunity to member countries of the OSCE to renew responsibilities on developing trust in the region. Irish Foreign Minister Michael Martin said it at the OSCE Forum on Security Cooperation at the headquarters of the Organization.

'The Leaders of our countries are to meet in Astana after ten years of downtime. It is to give an impetus to further development of the Organization', Irish Minister emphasized.

It should be noted that the OSCE Forum on Security Cooperation was the beginning of a four-months presidency of Ireland in this structure. Weekly permanent representatives of the OSCE member countries' delegations hold negotiations on measures of strengthening security and stability in the OSCE region at the headquarters of the Organization in Vienna.

The goal of the Forum is to organize negotiations on controlling the armament, disarmament, reducing risk of conflicts, etc.
