08 September 2010, 18:44 Japan highly appraises Kazakhstan's policy of nuclear disarmament and strengthening security - Shigeo Natsui ASTANA. September 8. KAZINFORM Kazakh Senate Chairman Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has received Japanese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Kazakhstan Shigeo Natsui in connection with his diplomatic mission completion in our country. The Speaker thanked Shigeo Natsui for fruitful work on further strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation between the two states and wished success in his further activity; the Senate's press service reports. Noting activity of the Kazakh-Japanese relations, K.Tokayev emphasized importance of tuning up interparliamentary cooperation. "Japan is an important country for Kazakhstan, the volume of relationships in the political and economic spheres increases year by year. Interest in the friendly country is shown not only at the level of political circles, but wide public of Kazakhstan", the Speaker said. K.Tokayev thanked the Japanese leadership for support of initiatives of President N.Nazarbayev to declare August 29 as International Day against Nuclear Tests. Shigeo Natsui, in his turn, noted that Japan highly appraises Kazakhstan's state policy in the field of nuclear disarmament and strengthening security.
