UST-KAMENOGORSK. September 7. KAZINFORM /Lyudmila Malko/ A plenary sitting of the VII Forum of Inter-Regional Cooperation of Kazakhstan and Russia with participation of Nursultan Nazarbayev and Dmitry Medvedev will take place in Ust-Kamenogorsk today.

The presidents are expected to visit an exhibition of East Kazakhstan commodity producers arranged on the territory of 'Altai' Technology Park.

As reported earlier, the first day of the forum was devoted to the issues of sustainable development and high technologies in the sphere of agro-industrial complex, housing and utilities infrastructure, transport logistics, tourism, science and innovations, nuclear power industry. As a result 27 agreements on cooperation were signed.

Today it is also planned to sign several agreements. For instance, an agreement on establishment of Laser Technology Center between the National Science and Technology Holding Company Parasat and Institute of Laser Physics, Siberian branch of Russian Academy of Sciences; a memorandum of understanding in the field of research on nuclear fusion between Kazakhstan National Nuclear Center and Russian Research Centre Kurchatov Institute, and many others.
