04 September 2010, 14:36 Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia plans to open its mission in Kazakhstan ASTANA. September 4. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan has been defined as one of five world countries where the Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia is planning to open its mission. Minister of Higher Education of Malaysia Dato' Seri Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin said it at the meeting with Kazakh Ambassador Beibut Atamkulov in Putrajaya, the press service of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan informs. Currently, more than 2 thousand students from Kazakhstan are educated in higher education institutions of Malaysia. B. Atamkulov informed that the Kazakh Student Association of Malaysia had been established by the initiative of the Embassy of Kazakhstan. The Minister highly appraised the initiative of the Embassy and noted that Kazakh students were among the leaders of foreign students educated in the country according to their performance and creativity. According to him, Malaysian Government wants more Kazakh students to come to the country. Besides, the Minister emphasized that Kazakhstan was a leader in economic sphere in Central Asian region and had a high level of education in the country. Kazakh Ambassador noted great potential for further development of bilateral cooperation in the sphere of education, also mentioning that Malaysia became a priority for Kazakh students in choosing the country for obtaining higher education.
