KAZINFORM China's Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi and his Ukrainian counterpart Konstantin Grishchenko signed a road map on improvement of the China-Ukraine relations; Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass. Over the current visit of Ukraine's President Viktor Yanukovich to China, the sides signed 13 documents on cooperation at the interstate and interdepartmental levels. Some of them cover cooperation between trade and industrial organisations, cooperation in space exploration for 2011-2015. Under other documents, Ukraine will get a non-repayable grant for the implementation of the customs' system, which would check the authenticity of declared goods. The grant will be spent on the construction of a railroad to the Borispol international airport in Kiev, and on the project to build a hydroelectric plant in the Crimea. Ukraine expects to attract over four billion dollars' investments in the projects, agreed by the sides, Yanukovich said following the ceremony of signing the documents. China and Ukraine will work out a new strategic agreement on cooperation, he added. "This is very important for Ukraine," he said. "We have started the process of preparing the document, and at the convenient time we shall prepare a new strategic agreement, which will open a new era in our relations," he summed up. Comments (0)
