Kazakhstan and Japan should join efforts to reach goal of nuclear free world – M. Suzuki
ASTANA. September 2. KAZINFORM /Askar Bimendin/ Kanat Saudabayev and Muneo Suzuki discussed prospects of cooperation in the sphere of nuclear disarmament and development of peaceful atom at the meeting in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting Kanat Saudabayev touched upon the topic of nuclear safety and noted that Kazakhstan always remembered about bombardment of Hiroshima and Nagasaki that happened 65 years ago.

Mr. Saudabayev also noted that more than 1.5 mln of Kazakhstanis suffered from the consequences of nuclear tests at Semipalatinsk polygon that had been held there for 40 years.

M. Suzuki in turn noted considerable contribution of Kazakhstan to strengthening of global security.

The sides agreed that Kazakhstan and Japan should join efforts to reach the goal of nuclear free world.
