Man survives suicide attempt after 39-storey fall in New York
NEW YORK. September 2. KAZINFORM A man survived a suicide attempt after a 39-storey fall from an apartment block and landing on a parked car in New York's Manhattan, U.S. media reported. Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.

Thomas Magill, a 22-year-old student, crashed through the roof a Dodge Charger and landed in the backseat of the car. The speed of his falling at the moment of the impact with the car was almost 140 kmp (87 mph).

Miraculously, Magill survived the fall although he sustained multiple injuries including fractured legs. He has already undergone surgery on his legs.

"He's stable now. We can only hope he'll be OK," UPI.com quoted Magill's father as saying.
