ASTANA. August 27. KAZINFORM Head of the State N. Nazarbayev has received Governor of Zhambyl region Kanat Bozumbayev, the Presidential press service reports.

K.Bozumbayev informed the President of the results of social and economic development of the region within 7 moths of the year.

During the reporting period the industrial growth made over 9%, including 29% in the ore mining industry. The agricultural production increases as well. The grain harvesting nears completion. 230 thousand tons of grain was harvested. The unemployment rate was reduced. Over 4.5 thousand residents of the region were employed at the construction of "West Europe - West China" road.

The preparation process to celebration of the 100^th anniversary of People's Hero, Hero of the Soviet Union Baurzhan Momyshuly was discussed at the meeting as well.
