ASTANA. August 25. KAZINFORM Today in Akorda Head of  State Nursultan Nazarbayev has met with President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

Kazakh President congratulated R. Minnikhamov on official inauguration and expressed his confidence that cooperation with one of the largest regions of Russia Tatarstan which had always been based on friendship and trust would be successfully developing at the gathered pace, Kazinform refers to the Presidential press service.

During the meeting the issues regarding development of trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation were discussed. It was mentioned that promising sectors of the partnership were engineering, oil and petrochemical industries, agriculture, cultural-humanitarian and scientific-technical interaction. The sphere of innovation is one of the main sectors of interaction. The sides consider opportunities of realization of innovative projects in the sphere of road construction and petrochemistry.

Besides, the Government of Tatarstan expressed the intention to buy Kazakhstan's grain.

Several successful joint projects are now realized in Kazakhstan with KAMAZ and Kazan helicopter plant. In 2008 joint venture KAMAZ-Engineering ensured 75 percent of lorries in Kazakhstan, the cost of them was KZT 10.5 bln.

Besides, Kazakhstan cooperates with JSC TATNEFT, JSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim, JSC Nizhnekamskshina, JSC Trading House KAMA, JSC Kazanorgsintez and other productions of Tatarstan.

The President of Tatarstan expressed his admiration for the pace of transformation of Astana at the briefing with journalists.

'Everything which is done here is done at the highest world level. Many facilities do not have counterparts in the world. We come here and learn, R. Minnikhanov said.

R. Minnikhanov highly appraised the role of the Leader of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in the development of the economy of the country.

'Nursultan Nazarbayev is an example for us. He is an example of a successful Leader of the nation on the post Soviet  space. Due to his efforts the country prospers, overcomes all obstacles in its way. Kazakhstan is a lucky country to be led by such a person as Nursultan Nazarbayev', R. Minnikhanov emphasized.
