KOSTANAY. August 25. KAZINFORM /Pyotr Plakhotnikov/  Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev discussed the issue regarding intensification of economy with agricultural producers of Kostanay region within his working trip to the region.

'I'm glad with the work done in this region. The weather is really unfavorable this year and a lot of countries suffer from it and its consequences but our garners are full. Agricultural producers are certainly to have good harvest due to introduced new technologies, new equipment that is bought for these purposes and the state allocates money to support the sector. Farmers do not have any problems with fuel, fertilizer or seeds. We are grateful to them for having grown enough wheat even in such tough conditions when there was no moistness on the fields for 90 days. Thus the agricultural sector of economy is going to be more beneficial than last year due to rise of the price for wheat at time of today', N. Nazarbayev said.

'I have seen here in Kostanay a powerful macaroni factory, the largest in Asian space. The factory is capable of producing more than 4 thousand tons of products a day. We just have to remember that entering foreign markets should be accompanied by increase of the quality of our products. Successful future is in our competitiveness', Nursultan Nazarbayev emphasized.

The pace of development of social sphere in Kostanay region is also very promising. 5 new medical institutions are put into service, all schools in region are fully reconstructed, 95 percent of children in Kostanay region go to kindergartens which is the best percentage in the country.

Industrial production has risen 30 percent in the region and it is the best figures in the country as well.

Touching upon the issue regarding prices for grain of this year the President expressed his confidence about definite rise in prices that was to come and emphasized that agricultural producers had opportunity to sell their products profitably.
