Constitution of Kazakhstan consolidated unity of people and gave equal opportunities to all ethnic groups in Kazakhstan – roundtable in Dushanbe
ASTANA. August 25. KAZINFORM In the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Tajikistan a round table on Constitution is the basis of democracy was held on August 25. The event was dedicated to the 15 anniversary of the Constitution of Kazakhstan.

Representatives of different Ministries and departments of Tajikistan, social organizations and mass media took part in the event, the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Tajikistan informs.

Kazakh Ambassador to Tajikistan Abutalip Akhmetov noted that the Constitution of Kazakhstan represented a new stage of development of Kazakhstan and ensured accelerated development of democratic society as well as helped our country be elected the OSCE presiding country this year.

Thanks to the policy of Kazakh President, the guarantor of the Constitution,  peace and interethnic consent reigns in Kazakh society and it is what economic and political success of Kazakhstan is based on.

Kazakhstan succeeded a lot on the world arena as well. Due to achievements of the country in economy and bold solutions of acute social problems Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev put an ambitious goal for the country to enter 50 most competitive countries of the world. Such a task demands further development of democratic transformations and modernization of political systems and strategic basis of economy.

The Constitution of Kazakhstan consolidated the unity of people of Kazakhstan, it gave equal opportunities to all ethnic groups living in the country. For instance, Tajik diaspora in Kazakhstan is around 70 thousand people; there are several cultural centers where they can study, learn history, culture and traditions of their country. There are 5 Tajik schools in Kazakhstan.

Chairman of the Society of friendship of Tajikistan-Kazakhstan professor A. Nuraliev noted that the Constitution of independent Kazakhstan included many rules and regulations that were part of the most developed countries meeting world standards.

'Everybody notes that Kazakhstan has succeeded a lot in all spheres of life and has taken a lead in the post Soviet Union space since the adoption of the Constitution 15 years ago', A. Nuraliev added.
