Year of Kazakhstan in S Korea boosts bilateral relations
ASTANA. August 20. KAZINFORM Kazakh Ambassador to South Korea Darkhan Berdaliyev held a meeting with Korean Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Yu In-Chon Wednesday, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry reports.

D.Berdaliyev informed the Minister on the activities held within the Year of Kazakhstan in Korea that was opened during the visit of the Kazakh President to this country in April this year. Days of Culture of Almaty in Daegu city are scheduled for this month within the celebration of the Kazakhstan's Year. Days of Culture of Almaty and Mangystau regions are planned to be held in different Korean cities as well.    

The Korean Minister expressed confidence that the Year of Kazakhstan in South Korea would be successful.

The Kazakh Ambassador also informed of the process of preparation to the 2011 Asian Winter Games and introduced active promoter of Kazakhstan abroad, outstanding traveler and biker Dmitry Petrukhin to the Korean Minister. Upon the completion of the meeting Yu In-Chon signed the flag of the Asian Olympic Council specially brought by D.Petrukhin to South Korea that would be raised during the ceremony of opening of the VII Asian Winter Games.
